I admit it-
I’m a podcast junkie.
My friends make fun of me because it seems like 90% of my sentences start with “I was listening to this podcast…”
But really, I think podcasts are a pretty incredible invention and such a handy way to learn information in a fast-paced world. I spend a lot of time in the car which gives me plenty of time to listen to podcasts. I’m always learning new facts or gaining a different perspective on world events.
I wanted to share a few of my favorite podcasts here with you!
The Holy Post
This is probably my all-time favorite podcast. I know all my church kids remember Veggie Tales… well, Phil Vischer is meeting us where we’re at as adults now with this podcast and it’s always a good time! Phil is joined by Skye Jethani and they discuss all kinds of news stories both in the mainstream media as well as in evangelical culture. The perspective offered is incredibly balanced yet often offensive to those on both the right and left because it seeks to resolve the two sides rather than choose one or the other, and I love it. It’s so thought provoking, and most episodes include informative interviews with pastors and authors.
The Trim Healthy Mama Podcast
This podcast is one of my favorites in the health & wellness category. I (loosely) follow the THM eating plan, and this podcast provides lots of great tips for eating well and caring for our bodies as well as some deeper conversations about personal growth and spirituality. The mamas can be an acquired taste for some, but I love their humor and their co-host Danny Valdes just makes the show.
The Struggle Well Project
I started listening to this one when it was still called “Mom Struggling Well” and I will admit that as a 25 year old single woman it was not the first mom podcast I subscribed to… I just really love them, and especially this one! It was relatable before, but now that it has been rebranded I feel less silly about listening to it. Emily Thomas is SO funny as she hosts lots of great authors and speakers in entertaining interviews that encourage us to continue struggling well each day!
I love the enneagram and I love Ian Morgan Cron so… this podcast was basically made for me. On this podcast, Ian Cron (author of The Road Back to You) interviews guests of various enneagram types and talks to them about their experience as their type and how they are growing. It’s so encouraging and enlightening!
There are many more podcasts I could share, but I will leave you with these for now. What about you? What are some of your favorite podcasts to listen to?
